The motifs in Turkish kilims mean something, and I've picked some of them to tell my story with.
Turkish women have been reading the symbols in coffee cups, weaving symbols in their crafts for many centuries.
They wish for wealth and abundance, they hope birds will bring them good news and eyes will help jealousy to subside.
They make sure everyone remembers a woman is behind the design and meticulous craftsmanship.
These patterns work with all color combinations as long as the balance between colors are kept.
